Shimano Deore XT RD-M8150 Overview

The Shimano Deore XT RD-M8150 is a 12-speed Di2 rear derailleur made for compatible Shimano E-Bike and E-MTB systems.
This is brand new, unused OEM stock supplied without original packaging. Rear derailleur only.

The derailleur connects to the Shimano E-Bike system with an EW-SD300 cable. It also takes power directly from the bike’s main battery, so there is no separate derailleur battery to charge.

In addition, Shimano combines Di2 shifting with HYPERGLIDE+ to give fast and smooth gear changes. This is especially useful on E-Bikes, where the drivetrain can be under higher load.

FREE SHIFT

FREE SHIFT lets the rider change gear while coasting on a compatible Shimano E-Bike system.
For example, you can select a lower gear before reaching a climb or exiting a corner. As a result, the bike can already be in the right gear when you start pedalling again.

Because the derailleur works with the Shimano E-Bike system, this shift can take place without normal pedalling input.

Shifting Performance

Electronic Di2 operation provides fast and consistent shift commands without a traditional mechanical shift cable.
In addition, Shimano designed the RD-M8150 to shift smoothly under the heavier chain loads produced by E-Bike motors.

SHIMANO SHADOW RD+ also helps control chain movement over rough terrain.
Consequently, the drivetrain runs more quietly while reducing chain slap and the risk of chain drop.
