Description
Michelin Wild AM2 Competition Line Tyre Overview
The Michelin Wild AM2 Competition Line Tyre is designed for mixed to soft terrain, where grip and control matter most. It uses an aggressive tread pattern inspired by Michelin downhill tyres. As a result, it delivers strong braking traction and stable handling in loose conditions.
This item is brand new OEM stock, fully unused and supplied without original packaging.
At the same time, the tyre keeps a balance between grip, durability and rolling efficiency. Therefore, it is well suited for all-mountain riding where terrain can change quickly.
Michelin Wild AM2 Competition Line Tyre Features
- Aggressive tread pattern inspired by Michelin DH34 and DH22 tyres
- Tall centre blocks for improved braking traction and stability
- Shoulder blocks designed for increased grip in soft terrain
- Gum-X dual compound for grip and durability
- Harder centre compound for rolling efficiency and lifespan
- Softer shoulder compound for cornering grip
- Gravity Shield casing for impact and puncture protection
- High-density fibre reinforcement for added durability
- 3×60 TPI casing for stiffness, stability and comfort
Performance & Use
This tyre is focused on control in demanding conditions. Because of its tall centre blocks, braking forces transfer more effectively into soft ground. In addition, the shoulder blocks increase bite when cornering, so handling remains predictable even on loose surfaces.
Furthermore, the Gum-X compound improves overall performance. The harder centre section reduces wear and rolling resistance, while the softer edges increase grip when leaning into corners. As a result, the tyre maintains both traction and durability over time.
The Gravity Shield casing also plays a key role. It uses bead-to-bead reinforcement to protect against cuts and impacts. Therefore, the tyre is more resistant to damage, while still keeping a comfortable ride feel.
