Mavic E-Deemax S 29 Wheelset Overview

The Mavic E-Deemax S 29 Wheelset is purpose-built for demanding off-road E-bike use. This is brand new clearance stock with 29″ rims, 15x110mm front and 12x148mm rear Boost spacing, Centre Lock rotor fitment and a SRAM XD freehub.

The 30mm internal rim width adds stiffness and cornering precision. In addition, Mavic’s PFP sidewall design helps reduce the risk of tyre cuts and pinch flats on rough terrain.

Fore tubeless technology keeps the upper rim bridge intact and fully sealed. Therefore, the rim does not require conventional tubeless rim tape. This construction also improves stiffness and makes tubeless tyre fitting easier.

E-MTB Performance and Protection

The E-Deemax S was engineered to handle the additional loads generated by modern E-MTBs. Its wide 30mm rim provides a stable tyre platform while also increasing lateral stiffness.

As a result, riders can use lower tyre pressures for improved traction and smoother rolling over rough ground. Meanwhile, the 28 threaded, three-cross spokes help the wheels cope with the additional torque produced by an E-bike motor.

Mavic’s PFP, or Pinch Flat Protection, increases the contact area at the top of the rim sidewall. Consequently, it reduces the risk of tyre cuts and pinch punctures when riding through rocks or other hard impacts.

The wheelset carries an ASTM Category 5 rating. Therefore, it is designed for demanding off-road riding with a strong focus on descending.
